The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is considered by many to be one of the great classics of American literature. It was written in the mid 19th century by a Samuel Clemens who wrote under the pseudonym Mark Twain. Samuel Clemens grew up along the Mississippi River in Hannibal, Missouri. Life on the Mississippi, his own childhood experiences, and the small rule town were the inspiration for many of the characters and events described in the novel.
